2009 Fall Preview

The 2008 Lady Lions finished 7^th in the WVIAC, then avenged a regular season to intra-county rival Bluefield State by knocking off the Lady Blues 5-1 in the first round of the WVIAC Tournament.

Concord's season ended in the tournament's second round against eventual WVIAC champion and NCAA Regional runner-up University of Charleston.

Coach Joe Blankenship's 2009 team is young, but eager to prove itself in the WVIAC.  “We're optimistically looking forward to the season,” Blankenship says.  “We're ready to play, and we'll just see what we can do.”
